Date:2023-10-19 14:02:49

In the field of modern industry, energy efficiency and environmental protection have gradually become important keywords. Especially in the mining industry, high energy consumption and emissions have become obstacles to sustainable development. In order to solve this problem, the mining industry has gradually introduced exhaust air heat pump technology. This innovative exhaust air heating method not only improves energy utilization efficiency, but also reduces environmental impact.

The mining operation environment is extremely challenging, often accompanied by the following issues:

High energy consumption: The mining process requires a large amount of energy, including electricity for ventilation, water pumps, lighting, and other equipment.

Adverse conditions: The working environment in mines is usually harsh, including high temperature, high humidity, dust and toxic gases.

Air shortage problem: Many underground working areas in mines have air shortage (lack of fresh air supply), which may cause discomfort and safety risks to operators.

Traditional ventilation and heating systems often cannot meet these challenges, so a more efficient and flexible method is needed to address the heating needs of mining environments.

The exhaust air heat pump technology is an innovative exhaust air heating method that can provide heating and hot water for mines. This technology utilizes the principle of heat pumps to recover heat energy from the exhaust air in the exhaust mine and then use it for heating and hot water. The following are the main characteristics of exhaust air heat pump technology:

Design and Application Cases of Heat Pump Units for Exhaust Air Heat Extraction in Mines

Heat energy recovery: The exhaust heat pump system can recover heat energy from the discharged exhaust gas and convert it into heat energy that can be used for heating and ventilation.

Efficient energy utilization: This system utilizes the heat energy in exhaust gas, resulting in higher energy utilization efficiency and helping to reduce energy costs.

Environmental protection: By reducing exhaust emissions, the exhaust heat pump system can help reduce the environmental impact of mines and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Mine safety: Providing stable heating and ventilation can help improve the working environment of mines and enhance the safety and comfort of operators.

The following are some successful design and application cases of mine exhaust air heat pump units:

The Ordos Zhuanlongwan Wind Well Site Exhaust Air Heat Extraction Project is located in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In order to fully utilize the waste heat energy of mine exhaust air, comply with the development trend, and deepen the implementation of environmental protection reform measures, the project applies Kcalin exhaust air heat pump units for clean energy heating, providing users with a comfortable and clean heating experience, and achieving rational energy utilization. The system is equipped with 4 sets of exhaust air heat extraction boxes, and the project was completed and officially put into use in December 2017.

The Heshangzui Coal Mine Exhaust Air Heat Extraction Project is located in Datong, Shanxi Province. It is equipped with four two-stage heat extraction medium temperature exhaust air heat pump units, including two KLMK-STS/S-550/137 and two KLMK-STS/S-480/150, with a water supply temperature of ≥ 50 ℃. The project was completed in October 2020 and officially put into use.

The exhaust heat pump technology has proven to have potential in heating and ventilation in mining environments. It improves energy efficiency, improves the working environment, reduces environmental impacts, and helps improve the sustainability of mines. These successful design and application cases demonstrate that exhaust air heat pump technology plays an important role in solving the heat extraction challenges in mines, providing sustainable solutions for the future of the mining industry.
